VTR High intensity LED strobe lights for ANPR/LPR applications

The VTR range of lights finally offers a reliable, high intensity solid state lighting solution for ANPR / LPR and intelligent traffic systems providers. The demands of this market are quite diverse from high speed long distance imaging applications (such as average speed monitoring) to low speed close range applications (parking access control and toll booths).


The VTR lights are available in a range of wavelengths and beam angles to match each application with its unique imaging requirements. IR wavelengths for non invasive applications; white light plus other visible wavelengths are available when additional vehicle or driver details are required.


Each VTR light can be configured via RS232, RS422 or Ethernet for dynamic control. The intensity can be adjusted to accommodate changing ambient light conditions ensuring optimal performance throughout the day/year.

The timing of the pulse of light is precisely controlled and burst pulsing is possible where a series of images are required, such as red light violation.

Full timing control is achieved through the communication options and can be configured to microsecond accuracy. Synchronisation to cameras is simple to achieve, as well as synchronising to analog video cameras that offer no trigger output signal.


The VTR1 lights offer a compact solution for small range applications. The VTR1 is also deployed in several other applications including facial recognition.


The new high intensity VTR2 light finally offers the market a solid state alternative to high intensity flash solutions with the added benefit of faster strobe rates and improved lifetime.
